About Us


The Mid-South Baby Expo was “conceived” 8 years ago as a collaborative event sponsored by Baptist Women’s Hospital, Methodist LeBonheur Healthcare, and The Med. Our purpose was to bring together in one central location an event that would be educational, fun and informative for expectant and new parents. This event has “grown up” through the years and we are still going strong!

This community event is unique in that it brings together area hospitals, community resources and local businesses all in one setting so that parents can become educated, have fun and make wiser and healthier choices as they navigate their journey into “parenthood”.

Education on a variety of topics is offered, along with a variety of games and activities for all family members as well as dozens of exhibitor booths that are of interest to expectant and new parents.

As healthcare providers who see families struggling everyday we believe that it is our obligation to help educate pregnant women and their families. We have in the past donated portions of proceeds back to “community programs” that help these families with all other proceeds going back into the next year’s event. We have also worked with community organizations to provide free tickets to those who cannot afford them so this is truly a “community effort” and an event that is open to all.

Past recipients of “donations” have included “March of Dimes”, Mid-South Safe Kids Coalition, and the Shelby County Infant Mortality Reduction Initiative.

Community Outreach


It is our desire to provide all pregnant women with an opportunity to attend and benefit from this event. We are pleased to announce that we are partnering with Bellevue Baptist Church and Victory Ministry Memphis, Inc. to help make this happen.

Mid South Baby Expo is providing free tickets to women in underserved areas so that they can attend – Bellevue Baptist Church is providing bus service so that these ladies will have transportation to the event and Victory Ministry Memphis, Inc. has been instrumental in helping us locate these ladies and passing along the information so that “everyone in our community” can be a part of this event.

Another piece of our community outreach involved finding a deserving family that would receive a “nursery makeover” compliments of Babytime-Memphis. A presentation of the “big reveal” will be broadcast during the Baby Expo.
